Midway through the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship season, Walkinshaw Andretti United made a bold switch, moving from their traditional white livery to a striking black design — and it was an instant hit with fans.
For the 2025 season, the team has retained the black theme, incorporating a few fresh updates. Rising star Ryan Wood races the #2 Truck Assist-backed Ford Mustang GT, featuring a livery designed by Peter Hughes that blends black and orange gradients while introducing more colour to the sides, with added silver and white elements. The updated design is an evolution of last year's black livery, making it even more dynamic and visually appealing.
At the ITM Taupo Super 440 Ryan Wood's status as a young gun on the rise was further enhanced where he secured his first Supercars podium, with a third place finish in Race 8 of the championship, at his home event. With a strong weekend also enjoyed by team mate Chaz Mostert, the trip across the Tasman was a successful weekend for Walkinshaw Andretti United.
This 1:18 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.
A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. Underneath the model, the undercarriage details the unique Gen3 floorpan.
Comprised of roughly 204 individual metal and plastic parts, with anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing, including tampo printing where possible, photo etched parts including the bonnet pints, brake rotors and more, this is a high quality, detailed collectors model.
